On August 24, at 19.52 an emergency call was received that a car accident had occurred near “Surmalu” fair, Arshakunyats avenue, Yerevan: there were casualties and the rescuers’ help was needed.

A fire brigade and the operative and phsychological service groups of National Crisis Management Center left for the scene.

It turned out that near Arshakunyats avenue 17 “Opel Vectra B” with license plate 34 PS 314, “VAZ-2101” with license plate 35 AU 326, “Opel Astra” with license plate 34 AQ 203, “VAZ-21010” with license plate 33 TS 656, “Toyota Corola” with license plate 34 RC 819 had collided. “Lexus RX300” with license plate 02 UL 223 had collided with a wall and as a result of the collision the driver and the passenger with injuries of varying severity were hospitalized to “St. Gregory the Illuminator” medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars.
