RTA on Yerevan-Ashtarak roadway: there were victims and casualties

On March 10, at 18:51 information was received to “911” service that a car accident had occurred on Yerevan-Ashtarak roadway near Kasakh village of Kotayk province: a car had crashed into a pole, there were casualties. The rescuers’ help was needed.

A fire brigade from the fire and rescue squad, the operative group and the instructor on psychological consulting of the National Crisis Management Center of the rescue service of MES of RA left for the scene.

It turned out that “Opel Vectra” car (driver M. H., born in 1994) had run off the roadway on the 2-3rd km of Yerevan-Ashtarak roadway and crashed into the pole. As a result of the RTA the pole had turned over and the car had appeared on the opposite side of the roadway.

The driver and passenger (D. D., born in 1995) died on the spot. The other passengers of the car (J. M., born in 1991, V. M., born in 1991, and K. D., born in 1991) with injuries of varying severity were hospitalized to “Armenia” republican medical center. According to doctors K. D. was in fair and the others were in extremely serious condition.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery of the car and blocked off the scene.

The instructor on psychological consulting rendered psychological support to the relatives of the casualties and victims in the hospital.
