On November 21, Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan received the delegation led by Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Nikolay Grechushkin.

The Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation V. Solovyov, the Director of the Department of Logistics and Technical Support of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation N. Yevplov, International Cooperation Department Referent Vadim Khasenov were also in the delegation.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center Board Co-chair Arkady Balyan, the other members of the Board, the Director of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center Yuri Poleshchuk, the Co-director of the Center Pavel Gyozalyan and other officials.

Minister Felix Tsolakyan welcomed the guests and attached importance to the activity of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center and the cooperation with its Russian partners.

Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of emergency, exchanged views on the further development of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center, as well as on the organization of humanitarian assistance.

The Minister noted that this year the Armenian Government allocated about 170 million AMD to improve the building safety of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center.

Specifically, the means were allocated for the construction of the fence at the Center and for the platform for helicopter, a 10-gate shelter for vehicles, for the improvement of the buildings and for renewing 0.4 kW cable network and power supply system.

Deputy Minister on Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Elimination of the Effects of Natural Disasters Nikolay Grechushk noted that the Russian side continued the technical re-equipment of the Center, which will be of continuous nature.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation expressed hope that the Armenian-Russian cooperation will continue to be developed dynamically in the framework of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center and in the field of emergency in general.
