General Secretary of MES of RA Vahagn Ohanyan had Study Tour at Fire and Rescue Squads

On November 22, General Secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Vahagn Ohanyan had study tours at 6 Fire and Rescue Squads where construction works are being carried out.

During the visit, the General Secretary was accompanied by Vardan Petrosyan, Head of Building Maintenance and Economic Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and Hovik Poghosyan, Head of Building Maintenance Division.

The purpose of the visit was to follow the extensive construction work carried out in the Fire and Rescue Squads, as well as to meet the required and actual work.

Vahagn Ohanyan visited N 5 Fire and Rescue Squad of Kanaker-Zeytun and Arabkir administrative districts, N 6 Fire and Rescue Squad of Erebuni administrative district, N 13 Special Fire Rescue Squad of Davitashen administrative district, N 3 Fire and Rescue Squad next to Yerevan Rescue Department building, as well as the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yeghvard town, Kotayk Province, so as got to know the works carrying out in the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Center.

The buildings of Fire and Rescue Squads were renovated, the heating systems were installed, the power supply systems were completely renewed.

Roof repair works were carried out of N 5 Fire and Rescue Squad of Kanaker-Zeytun and Arabkir administrative districts, N 13 Special Fire Rescue Squad of Davitashen administrative district and of the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yeghvard town.

The General Secretary of MES of RA talked to the staffs of the Fire and Rescue Squads, listened to their suggestions and remarks about the ongoing construction works.

The Fire and Rescue Squads still have problems with household furniture: the General Secretary has promised to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Vahagn Ohanyan gave some instructions regarding the construction process and instructed to correct the defects.

According to the inspection it should be noted that at the moment the construction works are going according to the timeline and the quality of the works is in compliance with the requirements.

The General Secretary's visits will continue to be ongoing.

It should be recalled that on August 22, 2011, by the N 1118 decision of the Government, 1 billion 173 million AMD was provided for the improvement of working conditions and the construction of buildings of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
