Feliks Tsolakyan hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Armenia Cornel Ionescu

On November 25 ES Minister Feliks Tsolakyan hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the RA Cornel Ionescu.

Mr. Cornel Isonescu was accompanied by the First Secretary of the Embassy of Romania in the RA Marin Dragich.

Feliks Tsolakyan welcomed the Ambassador and expressed his gratitude for the visit to MES.

Armenian-Romanian relations have traditionally been very warm. The Armenian community of Romania has always contributed to this.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Armenia Cornel Ionescu informed that on September 18, 2019 the Senate of Romania accepted the draft on announcing October 12 as Armenian Language, Alphabet and Culture Day in Romania. This highlights the high level of Armenian-Romanian relations.

The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on the possibilities of deepening the cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Armenia.

ES Minister Feliks Tsolakyan noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations closely cooperated with the corresponding structures of Japan, USA, Russian Federation and other countries and international organizations.

Minister highlighted particularly the activity of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center, by the forces of which humanitarian support was sent to Syria and Iran during the current year.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Armenia Cornel Ionescu expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and noted that during his tenure he would spare no effort to establish close cooperation between the Governments of Armenia and Romania particularly in the field of emergency situations.
