Search and rescue operations were implemented near Garnahovit village of Aragatsotn Province

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure applied to the Ministry of Emergency Situations that there was a need of “BV20” emergency and rescue vehicle for the implementation of the emergency and rescue operations of “40 aghbyur” frozen water line springs of “Violia Water” company in Talin region.

From 09:55 to 12:25 "”BV206” emergency and rescue all-terrain vehicle of emergency and rescue 21 in Aragatsotn Province was taken to Garnahovit village by evacuator, at 12:30, 7 workers and 2 rescuers were dispatched to the section called “Chlkanner”, 12 km from north-east of Garnahovit village for implementation of emergency recovery operations. At 19:50, R. Bersalyan, r/s Senior Sergeant, driver-rescuer of the fire of rescue squad 21 of Aragats, made a report on their return way that they appeared in a snowstorm about 6 km of the village: due to darkness, fog and rough terrain they could not find return way.

Rescuers provided their location coordinates to Crises Management National Center, which was mapped immediately at to Crises Management National Center and provided to rescuers dispatched to assist at the scene.

Operative Working Group led by D. Petrosyan, r/s Lieutenant Colonel, Head of Aragatsotn Rescue Service Department was created by the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations in Garnahovit village.

At 20:27, a fire unit (“ZIL-131” 496vv01, Kung) of the fire and rescue squad 22 in Talin region and D. Petrosyan, r/s Lieutenant Colonel, Head of the Regional Rescue Service Department dispatched to the scene.

At 21:33, 7 rescuers and 2 residents of Garnahovit village in difficult weather conditions at night taking with them food and supplies started to ascension on foot. At 02:50, 6 km north-east from the village search group was found the staff of the fire and rescue squad 21 in Aragats (2 rescuers) and 7 workers of “Violia Water” company.

At 03:40, information was received from D. Petrosyan, r/s Lieutenant Colonel, Head of the Regional Rescue Service Department to Crises Management National Center that it was decided to begin the process of group return for security reasons at sunrise.

At 08:00, the group started landing in Sarnaghbyur village. At 10:14, the group led by D. Petrosyan arrived in the village and the condition of all members of the group was satisfactory.

At 11:07, a ladder truck arrived in Sarnaghbyur village and at 11:34, “BV206” emergency and rescue all-terrain vehicle was taken to the permanent parking in the fire and rescue squad 21 in Aragats.
